Heat and AC problem - very strange

I am working on an 03 Camry LE. The driver side heat is about 20 or so degrees warmer than the passenger side. Doesn't matter if it is coming out of the vents or at the feet. I've checked all the controls and it switches between vent/feet/defrost perfect and the door opens and closes perfect when changing the thermostat from hot to cold.

I've taken the duct work apart down below and for the life of me cannot figure out how the drivers side air can be that much warmer than the passenger side - the exits of the ducts are less than 18" apart!

The only thing I can think of is the heater core pipes are on the drivers side but the car hasn't always been like this.

Any advice or ideas are much appreciated!!!
