5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
it seems like a bunch of you norcal people want in on some sort of norcal meet. well, let's talk here.
here's my input:
i'm pretty cool with the members of BAC (bay area corolla- a 9thgen corolla.com norcal chapter), and i could invite the norcal peeps of yarisworld.com. incidently, whenever BAC does something, they also include BAZA (bay area Z association- nor cal club of nissan Z's). in other words, it's possible that i could collaborate all those guys into one meet (hasn't been done yet with yarisworld and BAC) on a thursday, friday, or saturday (their usual meet dates). now if i could get that to happen, would you guys be cool with that? it would likely be around march- early, mid, or late (depending on them) and it's usually held around union landing (in union city) or fremont automall (in... well... fremont). it also usually consists of talking, food, talking, and picture taking, with sedate cruises once in a while. they're a bunch of cool peeps, and highly dislike crap behavior- even down to speeding.
OR
we could just come up with our own TN/CAMRY meet. i'll just tell all of them to come if they want (some of the 9thgen/BAC guys would come).
update (2/27/08 @ 1:19 p.m.): location will be held at fremont automall. date will be saturday, 3/22/08. time will be around 6:00 pm. actual restaurant is yet to be decided. list of attendees will be updated as we go along.
update (3/2 @ 16:30): i stopped by automall on friday. i figured that a sit-down restaurant may not be the best idea with the amount of people expected to come. it's also not guaranteed that everyone will come at the same time, further making the sit-down restaurant a bad idea.
so i figured, let's just do it at in-n-out. i don't believe any of us in any club has had an in-n-out meet for quite a while. we can meet at the parking lot between in-n-out and panda/wingstop. that way, if you're not into burgers, you can have it your way with some asian food or some wings, but the "official" restaurant will be in-n-out.
sounds good?

Bay Area Riders
1. camry_101-ninja 500
2.propaganda - yzf 600- biker wit a system --- maybe
2) All they do is talk talk talk ov meets; when its time to walk the walk- they got shit to do.
3) Camrys are the black sheep of a toyota meet. Examples
A) BOS meet; We got thrown into a corner towards
the back of the building while the rollas/celis/trixs and
all them other ones. I didn't think much ov it-
- Milt made the drive in his car up here in norcal and
they shoved it in a corner- fuckwads
- Dave had the jdm front end on and he was next to
Milt! its bullshit.
B) Fremont meet; once again brought my cars in and
we got flagged-told to turn and to get the fuck out and park the
cars by the service bays while errbody else who
got there later got bomb-ass parking by the main
buildings and the rest of the people.
5 Gen4/4.5s/ 1 gen5/ 1 solara/1 avalon
C) Recent BOS meet; there were 1 solara/ 1 gen 4/ 1 gen 5/ and
1 gen 6
There wasn't enough people to give awards to 2nd and 3rd place.
because they threw the solara with the lexs.
So with that said; I'd rather have a camry only meet andFUCK the haters- these people don't know half the troubles we go through for some parts.. unfortunately; their
cars have assloads of aftermarket support and they can't appreciate hard work.
peronsally i wouldn't mind showing up to a bay area meet if i'm up here at the moment.
personally, every time there's a socal meet, i'm in the bay area for college and every time there's a norcal meet, i'm at home for the weekend in socal.
otherwise, i'm content with anything in the east bay and south bay area meets.

I'd be down for a Meet. I own a camry, and im always with Cb7tuner or Bap meet only. I want to get together with atleast some toyotas. Valley, bay, or more up north, it dont matter to me. Just post up the location. i drove all the way from Sac to fresno just for a Prelude meet in my Camry. They respect my ride. I just want everyone to respect everyones ride.
someone make it a beach thing in the summer- that way; we can post and show off our cars to the public and chill on the sand/water/hold 'em/football.. etc.- so someone bring some chix.. cockfest in the beach is the weakshit. LOL
I remember attending like 2 meets and 1 attempted meet in Bay Area. One was by Ocean Beach/Lands End in SF, one in Berkeley, and one in Fremont years ago. The Berkeley one was a BBQ and had decent turn out. But all these were like 5 years ago :-p

What beach? The only beach I'm familiar with is Ocean Beach in SF and it's freaking cold in the summer...
Oh...haha...I never knew it was such a big deal. Then again, last time I went to SF, I drove up via 101 and stopped at Pismo to get some chowder at Splash Cafe.
