Now that you mentioned....if you red-out the reverse light then isn't that illegal? You just gave the cops reason to pull you over.

Correct. Instant probable cause for a stop. Oh, and if the officer really has a hard-on for you? The vehicle is not, in its present state, safe to drive on public roads, as it has no reverse lights. If he's nice, you can call your own wrecker and tow it to your house. If he's not, he can impound the vehicle.

i personally dont like it at all.. i would have opted to go with 5.5 SE tail lights like mine

To the OP, just have a knife with you in case a police guy bothers you....oh, not to stab him but to scratch off a bit of paint to make the reverse become white again instantly

+1 on the reverse lights. i would be pissed off if you were backing out and i would of that you were breaking and end up hitting my car.
