so yeah post says it all. i admit im a TOTAL noob even though i've been into cars and stuff forever. so the story i work at pep boys and found out my part's manager's dad is the sales manager for 5zigen. WOOOT I WANTED SOME ZIGEN RIMS TOO!
will the 18x7.5 fit on my car? im sure it will but just to make sure and i tihnk i also so on wheelsnext.com that there was a 18x8.5 but im not sure. but if there was, will that fit too?
yes yes i know there was plenty of topics about wheels and stuff but i wanna get a 100% sure that i wont rub or have any brake caliper issues or anything.
just a plain yes, no or maybe. THANKS!
oh and just for the hell of it wat about the 19x 8.5? yes no? 19x 9.5? haha yes no? thanks a lot guys. u guys save me a lot of endless nights looking for answers.
sorry i can't say plainly yes or no, because there involves a lot of thigns...
Yes they will fit, just get the 5x114.3.
perfect offsets too! 18x7.5 and 18x8.5 will fit. And yes, it will definitely clear the brakes depending on which offset u get.

its because they offer those rims in different offsets ur in luck!
19's will definitely fit. Remember, I'm on 19s. I'm on a 2.5inch all around tein drop, and i do not rub at all. my rears are 9.5 inches wide, and fronts 8.5 inches wide.
you'll be fine with 19x8.5, offset it at 38 is perfect.

19x9.5 in rear will fit, for the front i would say no.
If you are going to get 19x9.5, get staggered and get 8.5 in the fronts along with it. Either that or 19x8.5's all around.
Another thing, I'm running offset +35. I don't know exactly the space different between +35 and +38 offset, but with my +35, with my rear as 9.5 inches wide, i come VERY close to the strut. I would say barely a finger's clearance if even that. So I don't know about +38.. I would like to say yes, but plz get a 2nd opinion.
Btw, rubbing depends on tires too. most defintely tires...

9.5 rear. See how it sticks out a bit? Personally, I was going for that look and I wanted it to stick out just a tad bit. Only the bottom + sides sticks out, and it looks gangster. The top of the rim is flush with the car.
Some may like that look, other would want the sides of the wheel to be flush with the car also. Depends on what look you're going for.
here's another pic of the example car. The fronts u can see is completely flush with the 8.5 width. In actuality, it sticks out about half an inch also in the front lol.
See the front sticks out a TAD bit, and thats with 8.5 and +35 offset. +38 will leave your car completely flush with the fenders. +38 and 8.5 width would be the best route to go all around, if you want flush.
Here's the whole car. Sorry about the blurriness, I didn't take the pic
Hope that helps.

u kno if our cars was RWD i would go staggered but i dont see a point on doing that but dead weight and more $$ on the tires. haha it looks pretty sick though ill admit that. ill probably go 19x8.5 38 offset like u said. now tire size and wat does it mean stretched tires? why would u do it? im confused
i stretched the tires because i didn't want to rub. If I had regular sized tires, i would DEFINITELY rub since my rim sticks out a bit. But since it is stretched + cambered, it allows my rim to tuck into my fender instead of rubbing it.
ill help you more 2moro, im going to sleep now lol. don't stay up all night looking at those rims.. i know you are lol.

LOL but for me i wouldnt rub right? so tire size? anyone? anyone? gosh im so stoked!
19x8.5 with +38mm and 225/40 will fit well and look great. This size tires is just sometimes hard to get in the brand you like and are a bit more expensive
good luck with the 5 zigens! i've always loved the hyper 5zr wheels
19x8.5 will be the perfect size all around as most members have said and tires will depend on the brand since some 235/35/19 tires are wider than others. i recall running 215/45/17 on my old civic before, yokohama advan sport, lined them up with a friend's dunlop with the same measurements and mine were wider by maybe half to a full inch.
to answer your question on stretched tires, people stretch tires to fit massive width wheels on their cars without rubbing. a lot of VIP guys, drift guys and vdubbers do this. on a ferrari or porsche, you would rarely see someone running a 12" wide wheel on the rear with no less than 315 or 325 for tire width. for VIP, on a 12"j wheel, they'd run maybe 275-285 because the stretch of the tire will allow them to be massively dumped.
here is an example:
check the rear tire and wheel. with the stretch, they can now go lower and wider than most cars can. extreme fitments. (minor fenders mods may be in order)
other examples:
this is something very popular in japan. not many people understand the full concept of stretching besides looks wise though
