oil drain plug - torque
For Gen5's, what is the right amount of torque to tighten oil drain plug.

in all honesty, most specs like this should be found in your owners manual.

^owners manual rarely has torque specs...
per the toyota repair manual (02-06 Camry) 33 ft-lbs for V6 and 18ft-lbs for I4 engines.

yeah its not in my owners manual either...my fault
it is however in my factory service manual

18lbs ft I4

I know this thread is old, but what page or section is that on? I have the "repair" manual and I believe this and the FSM are the same.

page 17-7 for the I4, page 17-10 for the V6

12mm aluminum gaskets are available from Advanced Auto or most other parts houses. 33 ft lbs for the V6.
