can I add a question to what wetherburner asked, I too wouldn't want to spend extra money for an extra set of TPMS's, but if you were able to get ahold of another set of 4 TPMS's would the dealer be able to program all 8 sensors to the computer so it will be able to read them???

IF that is POSSIBLE then it might be beneficial to get the other 4 sensors so that you can switch between 2 sets of rims with no light???

AFAIK only 5 sensors can be programmed into the TPM ECU.

Are you saying that if you put all 4 sensors in the spare the idiot light on the dash WONT come on? That sounds way to easy.

An easier way was mentioned earlier. Place black tape over the light.

I dont have an extra set of tires.

I finally found some rims for my truck that I like and fit over the brake calipers. When they went to put the valve stems on the rims they wouldnt fit because of the flippin TPS.

I followed this suggestion and my tire dealer only charged me $6 per wheel to move the sensors. Thanks for the suggestion!

Total cost: $24
