5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I know. I lied. I swore I would never start a new thread.
Prosecute me
Gene's wonderful shop, my home for a couple of hours during install.
Finally, my Megans in real life.
My car before the install.
Note the stock Spring travel.
Adjustable Damper.
Before height was adjusted.
Height Adjusted. Rear. Note that my car is still jacked up lol.
Right before it is lowered...
I only took one good pic before I had to rush home to church.
I will have more pics 2moro, after I get alignment and wash my car.
Settings:
Damper is at 10/32 clicks. I think I will go harder though, cuz I have decent roads where I live.
Height: The front is all the way dumped, without changing the spring rates. You can drop it height wise, and after that, you can drop it by compressing the spring. I dropped the front, bottoming out my height. I didn't want to mess with compressing the springs. The rear is dropped to even out with the fronts. I still have about an inch and a half of travel before I bottom out my rears.
The Ride: It is much stiffer than my teins. It handles on the ball, but it rubs so much I'm afraid to test it. The clearance I have from my fender to my rim is less than a millimeter (no joke). I need to get it rolled asap. My tires are stripping off like string cheese (seriously lol). But handling is awesome. I feel the road a lot more now. I love the megans
I like the height its at now
Shoutouts:
1) Gene and his cousin, for hooking me up!!! Thank you both so much... You've done so much for me and my car.
2) Moky. I hate you. Your drop made me jealous haha.
3) '_' for tagging along today and keeping me company.
4) My two jobs. Thank you for being my main sponsor
5) Milton. You comment stuck to me during the car meet. Peach, your fingergap is killing me! lolll This was almost 1 day after i just put in my teins!!!
6) And to the rest who anticipated my drop i.e. Indomi, Ryan w/ the Razzikit, Moky, etc etc. Thank you all.
And again, I will have more pics 2moro, after I get alignment and wash my car.

it looks awesome! hope youre satisfied with this setup, because it looks killer.
Love the look. And you were complaining that the Tein dropped were stiff and this Megan coilover is even stiffer!!! But that's one damn sexy Camry for sure.

Back on stock height and love it!
Looks great Peach! And I would not change the rims - looks different/aggressive and goes with the car color in my mind.
I would do these Megans in a blink if I would not need my Camry as a family car and having to deal with bad roads. So, enjoy as long as you possibly can.
Does the sway bar touch the steering rod? Because the the sway link is so long it push the sway down after been lower and also these causes the sway bar not working.
sorry guys... pictures 2moro night... Alignment + fender rolling till 5... And 5-1am i'll be busy with work
...you are already working on rolling your fender today? Oh man, the rub must really be bad and bother you. Did you ever roll a fender and have the tools on hand?
