5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
my bad, thanks for the correction. but yes, the spoiler can be purchased from canada. i'm still trying to search for that individual thread. i was planning on getting a pedestal spoiler as well but the oem lip has grown on me as well. it's subtle but it flows with the camry quite well.
Yes...subtle. That's the best way to describe it...it needs something higher and more aggressive.
I'll check out his spoiler when I get a free second --
What do you mean about the Razzi staff....they don't like the LOWER lip spoilers or the higher ones?
The razzi guys don't like their trunk wing spoiler (first pic in that thread). Their are selling tons more of their OEM lip replica and believe simply because the lip matches the Camry much better. Just their opinion. I think Redoggs trunk wing looks better than the Razzi though.
PS: They do very much like their own lower lip aka gound effects kit
The wing over the lip...personally I think the lip is perfect for the Gen6...a wing would more suit an Aurion or sports car.
Oh okay; yeah, I suppose the wing OVER the OEM lip would look rice, but I was only asking incase I didn't want the undrilling and removal of the OEM lip if I went with an aftermarket wing...
I'm sure many people share your opinion about the lip for the Generation Six; I just think a higher wing makes the car more aggressive from side and front profile -- the reason folks are already going into an SE is because they "kind" of want a four door sports car -- of sorts.

If I am not mistaken, the Razzi ground effects kit looks a great deal like the one that comes attached to the SE already, no?
Okay, so the Razzi guys don't like that wing deck spoiler -- gotcha; I like it except for the middle support bar...
I wonder if you could fit the gen5 spoiler on the gen6?
I always wondered that -- I always thought that the generation five spoiler was the one that all Camrys should wear, even the Generation Six ones...it was high off the trunk, but not too high.
I actually like the Generation Five SE with the optional skirt kit and rear wing better than the Generation Six; those skirts on the generation five are so thick and low-riding it makes the car look sick...the 07/08 skirts which come standard on the SE don't look nearly as aggressive in my opinion.

Just to clarify any misconceptions you might have, since it was not mentioned earlier in this thread, the factory lip spoiler has been mounted onto your car with about 6 holes drilled into the trunk lid. It isn't too much work to remove the factory spoiler, but then you need to deal with the holes. So if you go with a raised spoiler, you will have several hundred dollars of body work to patch the holes and repaint the lid, unless you buy a used lid somewhere which will still cost you some money. If you use the RK Sport lip spoiler, I'm not sure that those mounting holes match up 1-for-1, although the RKSport spoiler should cover up everything. Take that into your financial consideration.
