When I went to "my upholstery guy" with the old XLE, they took the seat out about a dozen times. It's very simple:
1. Remove bolts.
2. Unhook the one wiring harness connector.
3. Remove seat.
Indeed, there's only one "power connector" that has to unhooked. Probably "not starting the car" while it's out is a good thing, but the upholstery guy never touched the battery, ever. Just unhook the one connector, then hook it back up when you put the seat back in.
I can't stress enough, though, that you should have
TWO PEOPLE move the seat out of the car and back in. The seat is very heavy, very bulky, and there is only an inch or so of clearance to work through. It's best to take the headrest off before doing anything, and think in terms of "spinning the seat around" as you take it out of the car -- kind of like how you spin around when you get in and out, yourself. One person does the heavy lifting from outside the car; the other person should get in the back seat, and help by lifting the back of the seat, and help guide the seat out the front door.
