Is Sea Foam all hype and a trendy name ? I used it and it did nothing for the vehicles I used it on. I used Chevron cleaner and got results right away. I am not sure what Sea Foam is naptha or what?
seafoam is a petroleum based engine cleaner... as for you not getting any results, maybe you didn't use enough, or you didn't use it right, cause if you don't put it in the right place, you won't get any results...
as for my seafoam situation, i think i'm gonna have to take my car to the mechanic and have him retorque the bolts on the engine cover before i can seafoam it... no matter what i do, i can't move them at all... i take my car to a quick lube shop for oil changes, and they must torque those bolts like crazy cause no matter what i do they won't budge... i also noticed that the engine cover's cracked in several places, probably as a result of the bolts being way too tight... god damn why do they have to make these things so difficult, why can't they make it just lift off or screw on where you can unscrew it with your hands... oh well i'll just have to wait...
