yes, it could harm anything... if you run a higher amp fuse, you run the risk of burning your wires, especially if whatever caused the fuse to blow in the first place is still there.
its usually recommended to replace with the same amperage fuse, or LOWER amperage. never replace it with a higher amperage fuse unless you absolutely have to.

+ Juan. The fuse acts as your weak spot, it was engineered that way as far as load, #/guage of wire, distance, etc. Upping the amps on a circuit designed for less is not a good idea.

You will only cause harm if the current thats passing through the previous 10A fuse is greater then 10A, which most likely won't happen if this is just a temporary fix, however you do run that risk.
I tried to locate another 10a that wasnt in use, and there are none. I already used my extra 10a fuse that the car came with last time I blew the same fuse.....I'm a dumbass, I know....the problem that caused this as well as last time is that the positive and negative wires I was working with rubbed together and created a spark which blew the fuse.
Nothing major. It just sucks because I have to wait until Monday for the fuse to finish my project.
The damn auto stores here dont have the new fuses yet that we all use, just the old school ones.
Thanks again to everyone for the info.......based on everyone's similar answers, I think I will just wait til' Monday.
