Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Also, at 70,000kms the rear suspension sags like an 80 yr old women. I am considering lowering with Eibach's, but do not want it to hammer like a wagon in the ride department.
I would appreciate some feed back on the lowering/ride quality issue,
In my opinion, with such miles, your springs are completely fine, but your struts/shocks might be blown or deteriorating which might lead your car to sag just a tad bit. Check your struts/shocks for any oil leaks.
So if your car is sagging a bit, its most likely your struts/shocks. So changing your spring won't really help it. Yes, it'll lower it, but your struts/shocks will still be blown. So yeah, first check on your struts/shocks before you make any moves.

Good luck. And don't forget to check your shocks before you make any springbuys.
Your opinion is incorrect.
Struts/shocks (the car has struts) do not support the weight of the vehicle and are only dampers that also double as upper control arms. The SPRINGS are what support the weight of the vehicle and influence the ride height. The struts do not. If they are blown the ride height will still be the same.

You are definitely right when you say that springs support the weight of the vehicle.
but the thing is, my car was sagging on the right side while I had my H&R/teins on. Even another user commented on it before. When I put on my megan coilovers, the installer told me that both the rightfront and rightrear struts were blown. This explained why my car sagged slightly on the right. Yes, you are right when springs support the weight of the vehicle, but struts do matter slightly. I just came to this conclusion because I saw it myself, before I installed the megans.
This is why I recommended the OP to check his struts. I saw his mileage also, and in my limited knowledge, don't the struts deteriorate considerably at 50,000 miles?
btw, my right struts were blown because I hopped a pothole that cracked/bent my previous rims :/

Believe what you want but that doesn't change how it really works. You could go drill holes in your struts right now and let all the oil out and the right height would not change. That is a FACT. Maybe you bent a strut, that could affect the ride height but it's not likely.
Just because you can see something, that doesn't mean that you can explain it...
It's not a big deal. Your statement was incorrect. There is no need to drag this on.

I often drill holes all over my car including the struts. The reduced weight improves performance (lighter), also i remove my whip antenna for driving at speeds over 130 mph due to the air resistance
i have the m3 lip spoiler on mine... it looks mean, i started a thread here wonderous body kit... you can see a pict of it... very subtle... very nice... i think you can get it painted... from ebay...
its rubber that goes on with double sided tape... real easy installation, just take your time and do it right... make sure it is even...
