5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Sorry to quote Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, but that was my thought when I picked my Camry up yesterday after having some work done to it.
First, I want to say that Xtreme Auto in Memphis did a great job on the car, were easy to work with, knew exactly what I wanted, and did the job fast (they apparently do a lot of work for the Toyota dealership I got my car from and their work is lifetime warrantied).
I had new wheels (Exel BK-7's in 18" from Wheelmax), new tires (Goodyear F1 all-seasons from Tirerack- speed rated to 186mph!!!), TRD springs, and a K&N Typhoon Intake added.
If you're thinking about getting any of this work done, DO IT! The car ride is stiff, but corners really well and the drop is noticeable when getting into the car. The intake adds a lot of throaty, deep sounds, especially at hi revs, and while the performance increase may not be much, it is there.
TPMS went on the new wheels, no problem. Thanks to all on this forum who have helped and encouraged me! I'm not done yet, but I have gotten done the majority of what I have to accomplish.
Enjoy, and let me know if you have questions.

car looks good, i hope it didnt cost much to have those things done since they are simple mods to do your self
It cost a bit (not too bad, I shopped around). I don't have much of the equipment needed for the springs, etc., plus I'm not much of a mechanic, I'd rather let a pro handle it.
Besides, I earned more money working the day they did the work then the cost of the labor. If I did the work myself, I would have lost money.

The whole thing (parts, shipping, labor) was close to two grand.
The tires are 235/40/18. I love the wider width of the 235 vs. the standard 215. I went with less offset in the wheels to give me more room for when I add Brembo's .
P.S. Thanks for all the kind words, folks!
