Gen6 235/40/18 with Tein S-tech

Well planning on getting the S tech when then come out.

Question is with a set of Lexus GS rims (18) will the 235/40 be enough or should I upgrade to 245/40/18

Will either rub, one look weird compared to the other, and will the 235/40 be enough protection

reason being is that some of the tires ie generals only come in these two sizes

245-40-18 is already smaller in overall diameter so 235-40-18 is way too small.
I would go with 225-45-18 which is closest to OEM.

According to www.tire.com (Discount Tire)
225-45-18 has 17 different type of tires with lowest price is Kumho at $124.
235-40-18 has 40 different type of tires with Kumho at $144.
245-40-18 has 61 different type of tires with Kumho at $155.
So yes, 225-45-18 may have less type of tires but it is also the least expensive of the three size.

That is very helpful in thread initiator's situation

Research at its best

BTW Lammydi I felt bad about 4 cyl for awhile but you know we owe less money that if we would have bought 6-cyl AND we don't have to worry about flare issue (even though it may not be as common it could happen). I say your car looks much much better than most V6s out there.

Thanks Gorky. It's because I probably have one of the most mods (if you include all the small mods) for an I4. My car may look better than a lot of V6 out there BUT at the end of the day it's still an I4.
I will trade any stock V6 anytime. Any stock V6 out there wanna trade? j/k
