Toyota Camry 2002 LE wheel and door handle question
1. Is this tire mounted correctly on this wheel. It seems there is room between the tire and the edge of the wheel.
EDIT: Yes it is.
2. The tip of the driver inside door handle frame is broken. Can it be swapped with the one in the back? Does it pop out or does the inside door frame need to be unscrewed to get to it?
EDIT: It can be swapped with the one in the back but both doors would have to be completely disassembled. Instructions: How to replace Toyota Camry speakers
3. The car's title was originally from California, don't they have tougher standards over there? How do they affect longevity/reliability of the car?
Aha, so how is the inside of the door opened. I found one screw (covered) all the way to the right of the handle. Where are the others? Is the dark gray top part the only thing that comes off or the entire inside of the door?
go get a haynes manual... as for removing that piece... i'm assuming gen 4 cmry.... there will be a little plastic tab on the broken part, pop it open, there is a screw in inside, unscrew and it should pop off...
you do not need to take apart the door pane, and you do not need to undo any wires, the broken part is just a piece of plastic molding around your door...
Is this the plastic tab you're talking about, yes there is a screw under it.
When I get it off, it still feels like there are more screws holding the thing, or should I force it open after getting this screw off:
total brain fart... lol... i have an 02... ha ha ha ha.... uh the screw you are point to with the red arrow only needs to be removed if you want to remove the entire door panel...
Never mind, here it is, I think I know what you mean now, click here:
So it's just a matter of removing the inside handle bezel plug, to get to the one screw that's right under the inside handle...
yessum... thats it, pop off the plastic piece, "inside handle bezel plug,"
unscrew the screw, and work out the plastic piece around the inside handle, "the broken part,"... becareful when pulling it out, you will have to pull on the handle a little and gently work it out...
