5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
TRD springs or not if one didn't get their TRDs installed by a dealer that golden warranty won't be worth $#!t. I don't know if the TRD springs are rebadged Eibachs or not, but I would rather buy actual Eibachs than to pay a premium for TRD springs powdercoated in red. Personally I like Progress springs. If they had a set for the Camry I would consider doing it but I don't see a reason to lower a daily driver.

I have Eibach springs on my car and I just got the dealer replaced the hub bearing in the rear under warrranty. They did not void my warranty because for them to not honor the warranty they have to prove that it was the Eibach that caused the hub bearing to fail. So they chose just honor my warranty to keep me happy.

I was talking about the warranty for the springs/set up (being a Toyota accesory) not the bumper to bumper car warranty but that's good to know. With dealers it's a hit or miss so when you get a chance to see a dealer not give you the runaround that's alwaya a good thing.
i spoke with tanabe and apparently they won't bring it over here.
tanabe-usa reps said that the camry in japan is different (im guessing its the weight, but also because they come as either 2wd or 4wd) hence they are not bringing it over
HAHAHAHAHA. I had a lowered vehicle before most TN members were in school. I've had 8 vehicles with modified suspensions (bags, I-beams, torsion bars, coilovers, hydraulics, and just springs). My comment is that I don't want to deal with issues anymore (comes with getting older) and since there is an option for a factory backed modification, I would go for it long before considering one that isn't. I never said anything about performance of different springs.
You know what they say about assumptions.....
Ps: Aren't the Eibach springs the same as TRD with a different sticker?
Yes, they are the same. I have owned 2 lowered vehicles myself. I also do not want the headaches and love that fact that the TRDs are warrantied.
I have been looking for the TRDs and Eibachs online and have found the TRDs are CHEAPER than the Eibachs.

Tanabe has no plans of making an exhaust system for the 6 Gen Camry. I emailed them last week and that was their response. Maybe they'll change their mind later. I told them to read the forums here.
