5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Alright gen6 peeps, here is something that might be of interest to those who are looking for tanabe springs. Tanabe of Japan already has springs for the gen6 camry. drop is around 20-30mm for the front and around 25-35mm for the rear. that translates to around 1.2"F and 1.4" rear roughly after springs have settled.
i've used tanabe springs before on my previous car and they performed flawlessly. ride is pretty close to stock and retains much of the comfort. no rust, no noise as well.

Back on stock height and love it!
To all these people dropping the Camry, why dont i hear any mention about replacing stock shocks/struts? They work together as unit to maintain the best comfort and performance. So whats the reasoning???

Their are none available for lowering springs. Either springs only or coil over.

Well i guess thats a great reason LOL I personally wont be lowering my SE or if i do i will wait till the shocks need to be replaced. I learned my lesson with the Celica i had....
i typed in Camry somewhere and it gave me this exhaust. it looks the same but its probably not meant for our 07 cam
The pic's look like two versions of an I4 exhaust....but ~ $650
...if you click on Tanabe USA, you can find application charts for all but the EXE version. None has camry listed. But that does not mean they don't have it as the NF210's application chart also don't show a camry.
...btw, why Yaris has all these aftermarket parts but not the Camry...
You've never lowered you car before have you? Not surprising...
FYI most spring companies are as good if not better than the TRD springs. Eibach, Tein, Progress...all reputable companies with proven products.
HAHAHAHAHA. I had a lowered vehicle before most TN members were in school. I've had 8 vehicles with modified suspensions (bags, I-beams, torsion bars, coilovers, hydraulics, and just springs). My comment is that I don't want to deal with issues anymore (comes with getting older) and since there is an option for a factory backed modification, I would go for it long before considering one that isn't. I never said anything about performance of different springs.
You know what they say about assumptions.....
Ps: Aren't the Eibach springs the same as TRD with a different sticker?
