Gen6 Debadging - thoughts/comments....

Hi all,

Today I finally shaved my ass (well, partially that is) on my Camry. I removed the "Camry" from the rear and I think it looks much cleaner without.

Last fall I put on a TRD emblem, and I'm now wondering if I should remove it in addition to "SE" emblem - since I like the clean look, but I also still like the TRD emblem and it wasn't cheap.

My question for all you TN folk is whether or not you think it looks good with just the TRD and SE emblems, of if it would look lopsided if I removed the "SE" and kept the TRD. I'm worried that if it looks lopsided, I'll have a hell of time removing the TRD emblem as it doesn't have any raised edges to get in behind.

I question leaving it as is with just the "Camry" removed, as it looks like I'm embarrassed to be driving a Camry and trying to hide it, which is the furthest thing from the truth...

Here are some pics pre and post for your thoughts...

Thanks!

One you take one off, you have to take it all off. Personally I'm not really feeling your TRD decal either. Take it off as well as the SE badge. Trust me you'll be thankful you did. I never liked any badging on my cars save for the manufacturer logo (and even then I took it off once in the case of my old Prelude).

Gotta agree, I'm not feeling that TRD emblem, especailly since you shaved off the Camry emblem.

Shave it all man. People can tell you have an SE by the lip kit and grille. So it stands out from other Camrys. I would get rid of the TRD emblem too...unless you really have something TRD like springs, or wheels. Even then, I think the car would look a whole lot better with a clean rear end.

Thanks to everyone for your opinions and feedback - you all helped me see the light - Hallelujah I decided to go full commando and remove all the emblems. I'm really happy with how it turned out

I used 30lb fishing line and they came off literally in seconds. No heat from a hairdryer or goo gone required.

Here's a pic of my newly shaven ass...

Yes, it looks good now. If you really really like the TRD badge and don't wanna waste it, try the interior because it wouldn't look good on the sides either.
