huh? Hidden chip with code...? And what do you mean "doesn't require a key"...got to have something in your hand to press the remote button...we call that key fob even it does not have a key.

The new Anti-thief require the correct key to start the car. What I mean by correct key is this key is not just a piece of metal, there is a chip inside that will send the code verification code to the car which can turn off this Anti-thief. So even if you hot wire the car, it will not start.

Now, the auto-start has a compartment for you to place the spare key into it which will send the code. It is this key that I do not want.

Have nothing to do with the key that u have in your hand to start the car from the distance.

Hope U understand.

Not really. Because, I have keyless ignition including remote start and the spare key in the remote is only for the glove box and the back seat ski opening (and can not be programmed, just a tiny key with no chip/battery or anything else). I can not start my car with that "spare key" as their is nothing to put the key into it. But you are probably right...don't know how it is done for the cars with regular keyed ignition.
