Gen5 Sylvania 9006CB Did not fit

I got a pair of 9006cb off ebay but I was suprised to see that they did not fit my Gen 5 camry. It is a little bit larger and would not sit inside the headlight. Plus instead of two parallel fit lines inside the socket it had one in the center. Are there different versions of this bulb? The one I got was 120239107492 on ebay.

I think your trying to fit them into 9005 sockets which are the DRL/hibeams. Which has one center parallel line as oppose to two parallel lines of a 9005 bulb.

Gen5 Dome Light

I also put 3022-WHP2 LED in the dome, I recommend this light instead of the stock bulb, it casts a really cool white inside the car.

If I read that right will I need to re-aim the lights? I may give this a go when I can afford another set of Silverstars...

it depends on ur headlight housing and how its aimed... u dont really need to re-aim ur lights
silverstars arnt that great, i heard they burn out every few months

i got these these
Replacement 9005/HB3 Bulb, 12V, 65W, each
http://www.rallylights.com/hella/9005.asp

its a $15~ shipped mod if u dont mind the stock color
they do have some 4000k bulbs for $20 or $33 per pair + shipping, but remember they use coats to get this "HID look" so that = less lumens and it says the bulbs burn out quicker

also the 9005 are 65W (+10W compaired to 9006 55W) and they arnt capped at the top
i dont think its a huge enough increase in watt to burn out ur stock wires, but anything can happen so be warned

+1 on the 9005 > 9006 conversion. Do it in your fogs too!

did you read the part where people's headlight housing started to melt? Mine started to turn yellow from the 9005 bulbs, so i switched back to 9006. I don't recommend doing this mod, unless you live in canada where it's cooler.

The reason why he says that is because as soon as you hit the border there is 10ft of snow, we all live in igloos and have sled dogs pulling our sleds. Everyone has a pet polar bear, moose and penguin.
