Vibration question

I have a 2007 V6 Camry LE. I was driving down the freeway and swerved to avoid some debris on the road. I noticed a vibration as soon as I quickly moved the wheel to turn.

After this I tried some rocking of the steering wheel left and right and noticed the same vibration as soon as I made the move. Normal driving is vibration free and going around curves is vibration free. It’s only when making this slaloming move. Any ideas? Is this something to do with torgue steer or front wheel drive?

Thanks!

Try having your tires balanced. That's one of the first steps in diagnosing a vibration anyways. I've seen it where an out of balance wheel assembly/assemblies will become more pronounced when turning.

Thanks for this idea.

It may be VCS as the car does have that option. I didn't notice the light come on, but will ook more closely next time I test it. I'm not making that drastic of a move, so didn't even think about VSC. Does VCS act like my sysmptom?

I thought about this, but because when going straight or on a curve it does not vibrate I ruled this out. Maybe to soon? The sysmptom shows up in the act of moving the wheel.

When there is a slight out of balance it can show up that way. It has happened to me just like that on several occasions.

Dismiss it if you want, checking the wheels and tires, then performing a balance check is the first step for diagnosis.

I dismissed the VSC because you never stated the light came on.
