I could, good idea. I was looking at the back and I can just warm the tape and remove it and pull it under the seats and route it up to the outside top of the trunk.
but, don' t know of these an take water exposeure
ps, my xm cut in and out when traveling west. the satelite is at the back of the car then and the tint is blocking the signal
the dash is a nice spot, up in the front by the light sensor seems like a nice area. i think someone has it installed there from the boards as well. I forgot who, but I remember seeing a thread about it.

I did, minimal problems with fade. It is sitting behind the required inspection sticker. I just tucked the wire against the windshield, down between the dash and A post. I pulled the glove box and tied the cable off to the available wiring, the to the receiver. Sorry you have to move it. Your reception may still be affected by the "tint", more fade points, than without it. GOOD LUCK!!!

"Kinda Hard to ID in a Parking Lot"
I just put in my XM system yesterday. My windows are tinted with metallic tint and I haven't seen any issues. My windows have 35% tint.
That antenna should be water resistant. I would be suprised if it wasn't. I was actually very suprised that they had the antenna installed inside the car. Every other XM antenna I have ever seen is designed to be put outside and this is designed the same way as all the others. I thought about putting mine on the trunk but thought I would try it inside.
So I would recommend that you get some adhesive remover (3M makes some...make sure it is ok to use on plastic) and then you will likely need to replace the double stick tape that is on the antenna that you used to attach it to the ground plane. You could leave the ground plane or remove it. Personally I would remove it.

Thanks, I am planning removing the ground plate. On the rear trunk it has enought metal. If you are traveling due west then it cuts in and out.
my windows are 20%. my car is white and I am painting the antenna with white plastic spray paint. just plain white. it will look better.
The Fricken window tinter installed a metallic window tint after he F"N lied to me.
If he lied to you, tell him to remove the tint as it's not what you wanted, and, by the way, you won't be paying him a dime for either install or removal. If that doesn't work, consider contacting your local police department and discussing "fraud" and "bait and switch" with them. That should motivate him along nicely.

I filed a credit card charge back already. To remove the rear tint, it always chances to break the defroster lines, I was told.
