Getting no power to my headlights, but fogs turn on.
ok.so this i what happened.. got a new hid kit for my 07 camry se .. wired it up.. everything was wired correctly.. but when I switched the lights on..no go.. hid's won't light up.. so I took them out.. put stock bulbs back in.. now the head lights won't power on.. but my fogs power on just fine.. I did check the headlight fuses under the hood, they are both good. any suggestions? noob here.. pls help...
I thought I was the only one who had a 7th generation Camry . Or was that 8th?
As for the question, I have no idea. I just had to comment on the hilarity that is a Gen 7 post, which in my short time in here is the first I've seen (probably not the last).
check fuses. If your fuses are fine you probably fried ur harness. I always recommend upgrading your harness when you do HIDs because of the high amounts of current draw.

Wait a minute, you mean the OP is doing HID install WITHOUT a relay harness?! If so, that is darn foolish and sympathy cannot be provided.

If you want help quick, you'd better describe your HID kit in details such as with or without relay. Even kit with relay they also have their own in-line fuse so checking headlight fuses is not enough.

That is why we need to use a relay because HID draw high amounts of current when its first start up. After that, it actually use only 35w which is less than the stock halogen bulb at 55w.
To the OP, replace your fuse then make sure you install a relay if your HID kit did not come with it.
