On alibaba are a lot of the Chinese mfg posting their after market units. It's probably not a scam but a) shipping might be high, and b) often they want to sell you a few 100's as minimum order....
That are the same mfg/distributor where Crutchfield, roadwire and others get them from. They just buy a bunch and resell them in the US.
Just test if they a) sell you a single unit and at what price and b) what payment method they can accept.
The hybrid unit is different from the regular Camry GPS in that it has an additional Economy screen and presumably more inputs.
You are correct. The hybrid NAV is a different part# because it is capable of the energy screens IF you run two extra wires in the hybrid setup.
OP: You should be able to use this NAV in a non-hybrid with no problem. But let me tell you that you probably buy a non-hybrid NAV for a cheaper price, because the hybrid versions are in high demand and often cost a few hundred dollars more than the non-hybrid versions.

it will not work. i've already tried it. the wiring harness is different, plus it is powered by an external amp. the nav processor is located in the trunk as well. I went with the roadwire which looks very similar to the factory nav, plus it is plug and play. it really is the way to go.
