2004 Camry Le
2.4L PZEV
The check engine light came on and I went to autozone to get it check out. I got the code P2423 from the scanner. The autozone employee ask me to get a new Cataylic Converter. Is he correct? He also say there might be a leak in the exhaust stream. Anyone know how to solve this? Does this fall within the Federal Emission Control Warranty?

I work at Autozone in GA part-time. Those codes are generic overview codes. take the code and call the dealer and ask what is a p2423. I can tell you this P24xx code is a powertrain code not a emissions code. If your car can drive 40mph it is not the cat. Autozone does not have a requirement of car systems knowledge to work there. Just cheap labor.
