5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
1. The hole thats supposed to be threaded was not, so I needed an extra nut
2. The vaccum line from the intake was not long enough to hook up to the primary pipe so I had to get a longer line.
3. The instructions tell you to remove the front bumper which is not needed. All you need to do is remove the left splash shield and fog lamps/covers.
4. An air flow meter bolt hole did not line up to the holes on the intake, so I just widend one.
On to the pics and videos!

Did you do it for looks, or do you think that pulling in air off of the hot pavement and through heat soaked metal tubing will gain more power than the factory cold air intake that didn't have any of those concerns?
Call me skeptical but I doubt the air coming in down there is all that much cooler than the OEM unit.
Thus it's all about looks, and if you're OK with that great. Just don't try and convince the rest of us that it's some kind of power booster. If real power is what I need I would buy one of the gas saving/power increasing chips on Ebay for the low low price of $7.99!
I love NoS energy drink. Best one on the market, even with the goofy bottles. It's too bad the company that licensed the NoS name went bankrupt.

One minute apart.
Nice to see someone in here with those sentiments.
If you guys noticed my post, nowhere does it say I feel more power or that I was looking for power, this is all cosmetic...if theres some gains good, if not its cool too. I know that aluminum is not the best material for intakes...bla bla bla...wa wa wa, this post is just to let you guys know what this kit looks like and if its something you might be interested. Fuk, if I dont like it in the long run or notice a drop in mpg its going up for sale...

That's great at least you're not one of the douches who claim they can "feel" the power increase. Props for you buying it for what it truly is...something that looks good in your engine bay.
