has anyone put cold cathode lighting in the glove box as iam interested in how they wired it up

Some people just swap the halogen with a LED. Some are so bright that they even illuminate the footwell below.

not sure what you're looking for here.. seems simple. Find the bulb. Pull it out and wire the (+) to the red wire for the converter and (-) to the the black.

You could probably use a 4" light. I think a 12" kit would be a bit excessive.

As danorthface stated, the installation is fairly straight forward. You might need a DMM to figure out the polarity of socket. Connect the positive lead from the ballast into the positive lead on the bulb socket and do the same with the negative lead.
