HID does not stay on with relay harness

I do have a relay harness for my HIDs. The problem is that when turn the key, the HIDs fire before my engine cranks. When my engine cranks, the hids flicker and go out. They stay on if I manually turn them on instead of using auto.

Anyone else having this problem? I'm thinking of wiring up a delay circuit that will prevent this issue.

i think this is normal if u leave it on "auto"
leave it on "off" or "parking lights" and turn on ur HIDs a few seconds later after u start ur car

i think it has to do with the mod express hids. They ignite too quick, which just causes them to go out when the engine cranks. I don't think other kits have this problem on the camry.

Yes it is. Even with halogen lights, the light flickers when the engine cranks. It's just that HIDs can't tolerate it

I have the same exact problem, so now I just turn my lights off when I get out of the car, and manually turn them on when the car is started. This was a huge pain before, but now I do it without even thinking about it.

I had the same issue with eBay kits as well.

ah, i see. Well i'm going to build a .5- 1 sec delay circuit that can be placed in the fuse box. The circuit will also filter the power disruption. That should fix the problem.
