Gen6 Photo Shoot

After looking at my car and all the damage done during the winter, I thought my car would never look the same again. (Show us your winter damage!)

Anyways, I washed and detailed it today and it looks just as good as new! I also cleaned the engine using the orange degreaser found at Wal-Mart ($3), and it worked very well.

Now for some pics!

It looks great!

My car needs some serious attention also.

I have a long road trip planned, so it will have to wait.

Thanks! I sprayed the orange degreaser over the entire engine bay, including the battery, airbox, etc (just make sure not to get any in the air intake). It's much better then that crap you get at AutoZone where it stains your driveway and is toxic for the environment.

I would highly recommend it if you're engine bay is in need of some serious cleaning.

Thanks! I knew some one would notice those mounts, lol. They are actually for my scanner and ham radio, I took the antennas off for the photos and was going to photoshop the mounts out of the photos, but decided it would take too long.

Its recommended to cover the alternator / battery. Spray the area surrounding the engine with water to create a slight barrier from the degreaser & avoid drenching exposed wiring.

It works well to get rid of grime off the brakes / steelies.

Don't use it on your rims...

+1 - I think you already explained it earlier, but what material did you use to make these chrome stripes on the upper and lower grille? Looking good!
