Gen6 Steering wheel control for Avic on Camry

Was wondering if the original stereo controls on the steering wheel could be modified or just connected for use with an AVIC D2. If not, is there a remote available right now that could fit just there?

You're welcome.

Post some pics when you have everything installed. Personally I would have never bought a headunit off Ebay but I guess to get one used that's the place to go.

I'm curious to see a Pioneer double din unit on a Gen 6. Pioneer must be coming out with a D4 because there's a D3 bundle that includes the headunit, iPod cable and Bluetooth module for less than $800 retail. Pretty good deal considering that a year ago the D3 was going for a $1000 plus the Bluetooth module was $250.

Yup the AVIC-N1 I had in my Prelude was a cornucopia of wires plus it had an external box. Pain in the ass installing it that's for sure...

Several people have already done this and posted pics in earlier threads, I'm sure you can find them with a search. Here is watchcrazy's installation (Audio system is complete - some final shots or his cardomain page http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2590222 ):

Why would I go through the trouble of searching when you just did it for me?

Thanks
