5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
A debadged rear end on a Gen 6 looks much better imo. So, I got in on the act. Notice the rebadging on the right side.
A little close-up shows off my new decal. If after a couple weeks I still dig it I'm going to paint it on (I'm making a template/stencil at the moment).
The car is silver, but the beautiful sunset this evening makes the car look like that sandy color.
Im gonna get in on this debadging party soon too,.. oh wait, I should have my car first
I love the way the gen6 looks debadged, especially with a lip spoiler.. i might not debadge only because it'll make me want to buy one

PhantomGrey: that is very clean! where did you get the decal from?
Thanks much. Decal readily available on eBay. Seller is jdmpit.
catric69: Good choice! nice and subtle.
Thanks. Subtle is exactly what I was going for.
ebumdude: Welcome to the shaved ass party.
Looks good!
Thanks! I think so too.
xfyre: that emblem actually looks pretty good compared to some of the ones ive seen :\
did you make it yourself?
I was going for something different than the chrome //TRD or the VVT-i. That is a decal purchased on eBay.
touringcamry: Looking good, but are you TRD equipped?
Thank you. I will soon be equipped with TRD equipped with TRD lowering springs.
alexdadoof: Well come to the bare ass club!
haha nice job...
Thanks much!
07XLE: Wait, so you're creating a stencil so you can paint the Racing Development TRD. Why would you bother painting that on when the decal looks just fine?
Welp, the reason is twofold.
First, it looks fine now, but the hot summer is coming and I have my doubts the decal will survive 3 months of 100+ degree days parked in the sun at work. Hopefully I can grab a shady spot, but I'm not counting on it.
Second, I feel going through the process of creating the template and doing my own custom paint adds a sense of artisanship. I've tried a mechanical project in the past with an SRI install and now I'd like to try more of an art-centric project.
