Gen6 Just finished installing aftermarket radio in 08 SE, quick question Please help

Hey guys, the ups man came today with my dash kit so I decided since it was a nice day out 78 deg. I just got home from work so why not take apart the brand new car lol.
Everything went very smooth, I was a little scared taking apart all the dash pieces but the crutchfied instructions are right on. Some of the bolts and harness where a bitch cause of my big hands but I managed. I also ranm new power wires and rca's and powered up my amp and subs. The only problem I had was my scosche dash kit. First off its pretty flimsy but thats the my problem, the radio fits in the very very tightly. I tried gently bending the edges and I got it in. Now the problem is the radio faceplate isn't sitting right. The radio works but the face is not locked in place I can easily remove it by just pulling. I used to have to press a button and it would pop out but since it isnt able to lock in place it wont pop. When I had the Radio and AC unit out of the car it worked fine but once I placed it in the dash it got alot tighter.

Has anyone had this problem, any advice. Its dark out now and late I hope I can take a look and finish it up tomaro. Anyways here are some picks and a video to show you guys the problem.

Thanks
-Drew

The way the radio is recessed could be an issue with some stereos. My Pioneer 860 with motorized faceplate doesn't retract all the way and I can put it slightly after it closes because it contacts the top edge of the surround and it stops.

I think when i get home today I am going to try and remount it. See if I can get the radio to stick out a little past the ridge of the dash kit.

Any other help?
