Does xenondepot have a 6000k kit all i see is a 6500k kit????? Also, im looking for bulbs for my fogs to match the 6000k light is there such bulbs (similar colour) and where can i find them?
no offense, since xenondepot is our vendor, but i think their quality is not the greatest. Their bulbs are shorter than other higher quality bulbs, and their clamps are made out of rubber instead of metal. For the same price, I would get different HID kits. A user named Gene something sells em.
I have heard nothing but good things about them. Even before they were are vendor.

+1 i agree with you. But compared to other HID kits, I saw other things that could be improved w/ xenondepot. Besides, it is their xtreme kits and not the top of the line xenondepot kits. I can vouch for the authentic top of the line xenondepot kits (uses phillips).

Princess peach, im not quite sure by what you mean that the bulbs that we use our shorter than other high quality bulbs. Can you clarify?
The reason we do not use metal clamps to hold the bulbs in place is because in aftermarket applications (depending on the application) the clamp actually prevent the bulb from being inserted into the the headlights. We have had this design for 7 years now with no problems =)
The Xtreme kit that we sell has been around for approximately 5 years now with very positive results. We actually chose to phase out the xenonDepot line that used the Philips ballasts as we found that the Xtreme ballasts were outperforming them as the Xtreme ballasts are epoxy sealed to ensure that they are water tight.

Hope this helps,

i've had the xtreme kit for 6 months, and theres nothing but praise for it. Especially after hearing stories about other HID kits falling off.
However, There are better kits out there than your xtreme, preferably, your xenondepot kits. however, those are much more expensive than your xtremes. Yet, i feel that the extra money is well spent. Xtreme does have excellent reliability (depending on how the owner installed it), but nothing beats top of the line like your original kits or others.
wen i compared bulbs, the HID kit I have now is actually longer than the xtreme kits. And the clamps are metal and have no problems fitting in snugly.

No sense in putting down nearly $400 for a Philips kit when you can get the XtremeHID kit for just $225.
I've extremely happy with my 4300K kit and also with the outstanding support which Steve has provided me.

i just installed my 4300k xtremeHID yesterday and im pretty happy... just came back from a night cruise
i had the 4300k mod express kit and never felt safe with it on my car
i did the squirrel spotter mod w/ JB weld and had a small leak above the cutoff with the mod express, maybe cause that bulb wasent seated right, i had to sand off some of the plastic part for it to fit into my headlights
with the xenon depot its clean above the cutoff
I bought 3 Xtreme kits from CL special 10 months ago and really please with them. Their support is quick and helpful since I found one of the relays corroded using the test instruction from Steve; some sealant would fix the problem.

hey sky03, compared with the ME kit, did u take photos of the install? does the XD kit look yellowish like the ME? or its actually whiter? i'm thinkin to get a 5000k from XD and move the ME to fogs

i didnt take any pics of the install
my 4300k ME kit puts out a bluer light than my 4300k XD kit... the XD kit puts out a more whiter light, which i like
if u do get the XD kit, the install takes more time than the ME kit(with relay) cause u have a few more wires to connect and hide... i didnt have to remove the bumper
its worth it cause everything connects really good, u dont have to tape up any wires or the OEM plug on the passenger side
im thinkin about putting my ME kit in my fogs but im not too sure if i wanna
I've had my Xtreme Xenon Depot kit for about 10 months now, and I used them all the time at night, I'd say I turned those lights on and off at least 30 separate times a night.
1) Princess Peach - I am not saying that Philips components are not good. The problem is that they are designed specifically for OEM HID applications. In OEM HID applications the ballasts are usually encased within the headlight to help protect them from water/moisture. In aftermarket HID applications you cannot do this as your headlights are not designed for this. The Xtreme ballasts are specifically designed for this application as they are epoxy sealed to ensure water tightness.
Philips bulbs are slightly longer than the Xtreme bulbs however that has nothing to do with quality/reliability. It is simply the design of the bulb. Ultimately, what is important is that the focal point of the HID bulb is sitting in the right position. If it does not sit in the right position you will not get a proper beam pattern. Our Xtreme bulbs are laser aligned to ensure proper fitment and beam patterns.
2) Yazovets - My pleasure man! Enjoy =)
3) The Xtreme kits are available in 6500k however the 6500k Xtreme bulbs will have a very very similar output to the Philips Ultinon 600k bulbs.
4) sky03 and yeuemhoai - thanks for the support! I am glad to hear you are satisfied with the product.

That's good to hear, especially knowing you switch it on/off a lot without problems. I recently installed my Xtreme Kit from XenonDepot and covered up the squirrel spotter with an aluminum patch and JB weld. Everything is good so far. Bright, but no glare at all.
My buying experience at XenonDepot has been excellent! And I highly recommend them. Steve was very helpful and personally answered my questions over the phone. I called him twice, and both times, I reached Steve immediately and never felt pressured to buy nor rushed to ask a question. He took the time to answer my concerns.
Also, XD kits includes everything, including two independent relay harnesses (one for each light). Some kits charges you extra for relay harnesses, and some kits uses one relay harness to operate both lights.
As Steve said, the length of the bulb is less important than having a proper focal point for a projector designed to seat a H11 halogen bulb. Longer is not necessarily better! OEM HID bulbs may be longer, but our projectors were designed for an H11 bulb which is much shorter. I think it is good that our re-based H11 HID bulb from XenonDepot is shorter to closer match our original H11 halogen bulb to retain proper beam focus and a sharp cutoff.
