Will there be rubbing with these rim/tire dimensions...

Rim:

19x8.5
35mm offset

Tire:

245/40/19

(Lowered with TRD Springs)

Is 245/35/19 a safer option?

Thanks in advance,

Are you 110% positive?

I've looked through some thread and found 245/35/19 to be way more common. Hardly ever came across 245/40/19 (I want the extra tire to fill the wheel well)

Also, most offsets I've seen are larger than 35. With a 35 offset, that brings the rim/wheel further out.

Tell me what you think, everyone!

Found this from lammydi:

Quote:
Well, here is the spec. of your wheel
HR2 19x8.5 5x114.3 +35 offset.
So yes 245-35-19 will fit. Here is the breakdown of the overall diameter.
215-60-16 = 26.16 inches of stock tires.
235-35-19 = 25.48 It's on your car now.
245-35-19 = 25.75 You should be ok with this eventhough your offset is +35.
245-40-19 = 26.72 It will rub because the width of the tire AND +35 offset.
235-45-19 = 27.33 Definately will rub. So don't go with 45 profile.
Here is my old rims diameter for your reference.
245-35-20 = 26.75 This is my old 20x8.5 +38 that it rubbed after lowered springs.
Hope that help.
^Thanks lammy!

I was gonna go with 19 x 8.5 all around with 35+, and the tire setup i would had went with would had been 235/35/19.

Personally, I think if you do rub, it will be in the rear when you have passengers or if you have a sound system in the trunk. Here are pics of a guy with 255/40/19 without a drop. But as you know, the TRD is only a mild drop and it looks like you have room for it. If you do rub, I'm sure a simple fender rolling will solve the problem. But yeah, you never know till you go for it.

Thanks.

I think I'd rather go (more) safe with 245/35/19, especially with the mild TRD drop (rear seems much lower than front...?) and the 35mm offset.

You can get that urethane bushing for the rear springs to solve the sagging problem and level out the drop.

^ I'll be considering that if it continues to bug me forever lol

What dynamic affects does that have on the suspension?

Nothing really. Just know that the bushings will also wear over time.
