5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Do you get thumbs up from random fellow Camry drivers on the road? Or are Camry drivers just friendly? Or maybe there's a secret code that I'm not aware of.
Just yesterday I got thumbs up from a Gen6 Camry driver at red light. Today I got thumbs up from a silver LE driver while I was loading gas at Exxon.

They are just pointing to the cup of coffee you left on the roof ...JK.
I get thumbs up from random people - period. Sometimes not sure what to tell them like when they asked "What car is that?" Not sure if they are kidding me as for me our rides still look like Camry's - my response: "You know, just a Camry?"
I got a few thumbs up from freeway to surface street once in a while. One time, at a red light, I got a thumb up from a guy whom drive a Ford sedan...but his wife/girlfriend was so embarrassed that she covered her face and keep shaking her head.

Everyone else that drives a Camry here is old as shit. The only other Camry driver I have seen remotely in my age group, is Shane. (808)...There is definitely the thumbs up when we pass each other on the streets.
