5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Another nice weekend, a couple of more changes to my Camry. I decided to take care of a problem with the look of my new exhaust. I love the polished tips but I don't care for the polished case of the mufflers. They stand out way too much for my tastes. I decided I would paint them low-gloss black for a more subtle look. Originally I was going to mask off the bumper, fenders etc. and paint them on the car. I decided to take them off instead. I figured I would get better coverage.
The first three pictures are of the underside of the car with no mufflers. Maybe someone could use the pics as a reference or to locate something under the rear of the car.
Here are the mufflers right before I put them back on the car. At the top of the picture you can see the hangers. Don't mind my crappy porch. It's being replaced this year.
Here is the exhaust on the car.
My other mod this weekend was installing a lip spoiler.
I was bored waiting for the mufflers to dry so I shot a little video. This is what my Camry sounds like with no mufflers.

Someday I will list my mods here
i like your Professional Alloy Floor Jack
If i have that, that will make my calipers painting job easlier from yesterday..
I bought it at Costco earlier this week. My old floor jack was all steel and weighed 85 lbs. This one has the same capacity but, it is over an inch shorter at the saddle and weighs 56lbs.
Painted calipers are somewhere on my list.
