You should ellaborate on that.
Projectors are only DOT approved when used in the housing that they were meant for. Meaning that a TSX projector is only DOT approved if used in a TSX headlamp. Retrofitting a headlamp will not make it DOT approved. That being said, I've never heard of anyone getting a ticket for a retrofit. Cops are not attracted to retrofits (if done correctly) because retrofits look OEM and do not glare. Just the same, if you're smart and use 4300K, you'll be even less attractive to cops while maintaining the maximum light output.
