OK moky, epsilon, trojan, peach , lammy and all my other boys.. I just got off the phone with my boy over at rotora and we had about a 30 minute phone call about the big brake kit for the 07 and up camry .. he has a 6 piston front and a 4 piston caliper for the rear .. and the standard caliper covers are blue or red. or can get a custom color of dark blue , chrome, gun metal, gold, silver, black, orange or yellow. for 300.00 extra.. i have my business manager right now on the phone with him working on a business account and once its done will give you prices. they should be around 1850.00 rear and 2495.00 for the fronts. so will be around 4345.00 for the set.. also they have only rotors available for those who do not wish to have the full big brake kit but want to upgrade factory rotors. they come in slotted or cross drilled and slotted. also the BBK's come with all ss brake lines and pads, rotors and calipers and are already assembled so only have to hook them up .. ill keep you guys updated. once i know exacly the prices. i am also going to have my guy set up an account with megan and ksport for all of your coilover needs.. and get the best prices. so be patient i got you guys.
thats great news benca!
yeah i saw the rotora rotors on one of the links you sent. they were like 200++ a pair i believe and yes the bbk do go for that. i had a weblink once indicating the price for the 4piston and 6piston. the 4 piston is cheaper by 500bucks.
any exhausts available there? megan told me that they were already developing something for the camry. im not sure if its for the 4 or 6 cyl one though
Hell, yeah! I just posted a question about brake upgrades a couple of weeks ago. Rotora... nice! It's practically been a wasteland for brake upgrades on the Gen6. Thanks benca1!

Thats alot of money for brakes. I think the stock brake system works just fine for the vehicle in normal driving conditions.....

i am going to be running 4 piston all the way around .. really only getting it because of the looks .. nice 19's deserve something nice behind that tight ass wheel .. so will do them for looks .. and no benefit really going with the 6 vs the 4 piston .. not worth it do to the power of the camry .. now if i had a twin turbo inline 6 pushing out 680hp in my camry then i might but since i am hardly at 150hp ill be ok lol ..he he. no for real though only for looks for me .. nothing looks nicer than a nice bbk behind a great wheel

OK, this super brake thing I don't get. explain me you this.......if I can lock up my wheels to the point that the abs makes them chatter down the roadway, how are massive multi-caliper brakes going to do any better???

well for one the more pistons on a caliper usually the more evenly the pressure that the pad puts on the rotor will be more evenly dispersed.. and with the larger more ventilated rotors will have less heat build up and brakes will be more effective with less jitter.. kinda it in a nut shell.. im just getting mind for looks only though i dont care if i get any better results at all .
Very nice...expensive just for looks though. I would also only do fit for looks, therefore I consider just drilled, slotted rotors of standard size and painted calipers. Their are kits available with SS lines for ~350 (F/R)
exactly also forgot to mention. a bbk doesnt mean you are going to stop shorter either .. however when most people are building a car .. and go from a stock 17" in wheel and tire and put on a 19" wheel and tire and a sticky tire like nitto nt555 .. along with a BBk .. you somtimes will have a good bit of diff in stopping distance one being from the bigger brake with less stress on the pistons and calipers but also do to the contact patch and more sticky tire.. just like if you put a set of mugen wheels 15" and nitto tires and upgraded the brakes on a 99 honda civic it will benefit big time .. but that would also be a track car and the higher the temps then the worse the stock brakes would be where as the new bbk would be a lot cooler and more effective so really for a daily driven car you might only see a very very slight diff ..
