Canada MPG and fuel economy real life - Gen 5 vs Gen 6

I have a '05 V6 and want to know if it is more fuel efficient that a '08 V6... I am well aware of the different engines, vehicular weight, etc, not interested in which one is faster, just the fuel consumption

I would like compare the mpg (in practice, real life use) for Gen 5 vs Gen 6 for the 4 cyl, too.

Any comments?

Sorry, it makes no sense to try to compare every Joe Blows gas mileage and make any sense out of it.

Driving conditions, driving styles, temperature, mods, varying ethanol/winter fuel content and other variables make it useless...................

Kinda like the worthless global warming BS.

Maybe you are right... just wanted to know!

My local Canadian dealer is offering incentives (reduced MSRPs) for the 2008 models, so it crossed my mind to trade in my gen 5, and get a gen 6. I was just wondering if the new 3.5l V6 is more fuel efficient than the 3.0 that my car has... and in my experience, the manufacturer's figures for mpg are not to be trusted! I rather ask Joe Blow for real life experience...

Look at the other current gas mileage thread and see if you can make sense of those posts.

A true scatter diagram.
