Gen5 noise diesling,2003 camry

Hello Guys and Gals, I have a 2003 camry and its making a rattling noise alsmost like loose valves, but its not the valves. I have checked everything i could think of for looseness, fit, exhaust, etc. Car has 115000 miles and runs excellent, the noise does not affect its performnace, but is a aggaravating noise almost like a diesel engine makes. anyone out there have a similar issue? Im thinking maybe something has come loose in the exhaust, maybe in the cat? help.. and thx so much in advance to all

Check to see if the air intake system is loose or if the air filter is not installed right. Also check that all spark plugs are seated and tight. This is a problem that could be a bummer if not found. The exhaust may have a small hole or an exhaust manifold gasket could be leaking. The exhaust manafold could have a crack in it while it is cold during the warm up feel around.Man so many things could do that keep looking where you would never look. Does it do it when cold when hot all the time. Did you have anything done to the car?
