Well, for one thing, you'll be able to get rid of that "awesome gas mileage" bit in your new 300C signature.
And if you can get one "for cheap," well, it shouldn't take you too long to figure out why.
Geez, that is the most preverbial "I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole" vehicle available in this country for me. Ugly exterior, ugly interior, awful gas mileage, and awful reliability pretty well sums it up for me.
Of course, that's just my opinion -- don't mind me.
Mainly, though, DO go looking around in any forums like this that exist for the 300C, and see what people who own them think about them. That's perhaps the best research you could ever do!
for me personally i'd go for 300c anyday over a camry, it looks nicer and it has ALOT of aftermarket parts, but yeah get the hemi not the v6, i really like the throaty exhaust note of the hemi engine
You guys are too much focused on your rides = Camry. I had a 300C (fully loaded) for a while. It's more responsive on the throttle than my V6 (not by much though)...even with the extra 500lbs weight. People buy these for three reasons: Looks (yes, indeed), hemi, and interior size. The hemi rides very smooth, little wind noise, very roomy interior. Negatives: interior design is cheap and not that nice looking, Mpg,...as soon as Chrysler will come out with a new model (very soon), the used market value will drop a lot.
I was seriously considering the STR8 - much, much better interior details (seats!!). Also comes with 20" and sport suspension. But 4600lbs and 420Hp eat the gas like candy! Insurance cost is high.
Some words to reliability - their are not as bad as you think in the statistics. They did have drive train issues....and now offer lifetime warranty to convince buyers they improved and can stand behind their promise. Time will tell.
Edit: The nav above is not for the 300C!!! It's for an older model (300M?). The upgraded Nav with kicker amp and sub in the trunk is a very good sounding unit - if you buy a 300C - opt for the kicker amped upgrade, you want regret! (better than our JBL, for sure).
It is HEMI with NAV, sunroof and pretty much all the options. The reason I am thinking about switching is because I have always loved the 300c. Very luxurious, 340 HP, RWD large sedan is perfect for me and my family. I am 22 and now in management for Medco Health Solutions, wearing dress clothing every day I go to work, which matches the car. I have a wife and a 4 months old baby too.
I had 07 RAM QC with HEMI and always loved the torque, just not the gas mileage. 300C being a ligher car with much better aerodynamics + MDS (from what I read on 300c forums) gets decent mileage for a large size car with a V8.
I can get this one with 30 000 miles for around $21,000 + TTT. I tried to convince myself that I like my Camry but the truth is I don't. I'm sure it's a very nice car to someone who wants an inexpensive economy car that will last a long time but I want luxury power and that "look" it has to it.
I am going to the dealership tomorrow to test drive it. Will not be an impulse buy, I definately want to make sure I want to keep the thing for a very long time.
Thanks for all the replies.

Right on bro go with your heart. I personally like the 300C's as well. Every time I see a stock 300c on the road, I'm thinking it's sorely in need of a nice pair of 22" rims lol. It's just asking to be fixed up.
300C with 22" Work rims

That night in Ontario, when Gene, Danny, and I were doing the photoshoot.
We were doing most of our shots at a gas station. Then a guy who finished filling up his 300C turned on his car, and his stock HIDs shone brightly along with his 8000K foglights. Then he drove lowly past us, and wen he exited, all I saw was a SRT-8 sign on the back and, TIRE SQUEAL and crazy throaty V8 noise. I saw the whole weight of that car transfer to the back, that thing took off like a effing beast.
SRT-8s are seriously one of a kind. I love those cars, and just the presence of one is awesome.

SRT8 yes and the reliability is as bad as I know. i showed a customer one today and they walk right back to a Avalon LTD. 2 broken ones sitting in parking lot didn't help with mad customers and the life time warranty they need it.
