Voice Guidance

O7 Camry XLE, JBL Bluetooth. How do you change the volume level for the Voice Guidance of the Bluetooth. Are you able to use the steering wheel controls? I know they work for ringer volume and phone volume. I thought they worked for the voice guidance system as well. If so mine doesn't work now. I know that you can change the volume via the “AUDIO CTRL" knob.

You lost me: voice guidance for bluetooth? I only have voice guidance for my NAV...? Do you mean simply the volume control for the phone when using hands free connect via bluetooth?

when you press the talk switch on the steering wheel, you can say "help" and the unit will respond in a female's voice the options. That's the voice guidance.

JJthenovice...

For the very first time after a year I bought my XLE...I finally set up bluetooth with my Blackberry 8830...I did notice the voice guidance volume is a little high...but I think they did that for the purpose of driving on the highway at higher speeds...if you know what I mean....I did have a little problem when I setup the phonebook...I speak out the numbers...but The car got confused a gave a different number...so I changed to speaking in a monotone voice..and It worked perfectly....did you have that problem the first time you setup your bluetooth?

Read the f'in manual

If you press "MENU" then I think "VOLUME" you can change the voice prompt volume.
