Canada toyota dealership refuses to do alignment.

Went to toyota on front in toronto today to get my alignment done.
Refused to do the alignment because the lug nuts are not factory. Also the rims are not the ones that came with the car. I put 17" es350 rims on the car. Anyone know of a dealership in the GTA that would do the alignment with non factory rims?

thanks in advance...

I'm sure local tire shops won't have a problem performing an alignment.

However I brought my car to the dealer with my aftermarket rims and lug nuts, as well as TRD springs and they did it without any issues.

The dealership should not and as far as I know, CAN'T refuse your alignment as long as your eligible by time and mileage for one.

Have you actually spoken to the Service Manager? If so, contactToyota Customer Service. Tell them what the dealer is saying. If you no longer want the dealer to do the alignment, ask if Toyota will reimburse you directly if you have it done elsewhere.

EDIT: I'm assuming that this is a warranty concern. If not, they don't have to align any car that they don't want to.

Leased or purchased, it doesn't make a difference.

Is it under warranty? What's your mileage and in service date (purchase date)?

leased april 2007 , 36,000 km so far/60,000km comprehensive warranty.....

according to my understanding toyota charges for alignment, ie. hit a pothole and the wheel is off. they put it back to factory specs....

In my case they say the 17" wheels / lug nuts are not from factory so we will not do it....

As it's not warranty work, they don't have to do it.
That's a stupid policy for them to have though.
