Remote Windows roll down + keyless remote, please tell me what to get & where
I bought a used Camry 2002 and it turned out it was originally a fleet car that was made without a keyless remote . [I found out the hard way after taking it to the dealership because I couldn't program the spare remote I bought.]
Anyway, all I want is keyless + to roll down the Windows with a remote in the summer to let the hot air out. No alarm, no remote start, just the keyless and windows remote.
Circuit City keyless is $110 (incl install) and Best Buy's is $120-ish (incl install) for a Viper keyless. But apparently windows remote can't be added to these...
I must've been living under a rock, because I never heard of remote window rolldown. Go figure.

Window Control Module Window Automation System (530T, 529T)*
The 530T Window Automation System controls the operation of two windows in both directions. The 530T can automatically roll up two power windows when a security system is armed, and will provide “one touch” up and down operation for both factory power window switches.*

(I do have both power locks and power windows, just no keyless remote sensor.)
I see, so the windows module works with an alarm system, not with
1. Remote that is just keyless, or
2. Keyless with remote start.
I need to buy an alarm system, is what you're saying, right?
The problem with installers is they tell you one thing, then hit you with additional charges mid-install. In particular since alarm systems tend to come with keyless being optional. Since I need the keyless, which optional additional parts should I be looking for to get keyless + remote windows, which is really all I'm looking for.
EDIT: Remote start systems can be programmed to work with windows modules. One module controls two windows. So two modules are needed for all four windows. Toyota Camry 2002 does not have a chip on the key, so no extra parts are needed for remote start installation.
I forget but when i was looking on info on the accord that you can Roll your windows down with the fob but cant roll them back up, and u gotta do it manually. I did read there are special modules for this kind of application. Also there is a moonroof one too.
That's fine since the purpose is just to let the hot air out in the summer when walking toward the car.
I'm just trying to confirm if the other poster was saying that the windows modules work only with alarm fobs or do they also work with keyless only or keyless + remote start fobs?

I do believe it is for the alarm systems, I was looking at a remote start system and like the idea of the auto down windows the installer I spoke said it is a separate module. I search and found the above post on directed.com.
I would confirm with your installer (after market shop that deals with custom jobs, Best Buy is ok for standard installs) to see if they can get it to work with the keyless entry system.
get a Viper 5900
i got that installed on my Gen6 with window roll up + roll down + Auto Start
and One Mile of Range!
the Option Sensor Installed are
530T Window Control Module - 1 module for 2 window up or down u need 4 total to roll up and down
506T Audio Sensor - Glass Sensor
520T Backup Battery - if some 1 disconect the Battery of the Car
507M Tilt Sensor - some 1 lift my car with Jack to steal the Rim
509U Ultrasonic Sensor - detect movement inside the vehicle by sensing air disturbance.
504D Shock Sensor - 4 x 504D 1 sensor on each door
4 x Siren's
Thanks for the info. That's interesting so, it's a one window module PER operation? OK, I guess I'll be going with just the windows going down then. So it'll be either one module for two front windows down or maybe two modules to get all four down, depending on install price. I'll be looking for 530T then.
I suppose my main question remains, can anyone confirm that I absolutely have to get an alarm system for 530T windows module to work with a remote?
I do not need the alarm and if I had to get anything other than keyless, I would go with remote start I suppose...
