5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
There have a been a bunch of posts about aftermarket exhausts lately but I was hoping to get a single thread with pictures and sound/video clips of what everyone has. Hopefully others looking to mod their car can benefit from what can be found here. I will be installing my new Magnaflow 14851 mufflers on my 2007 V6 ASAP (1 week or so). I will post vids/pics/etc.
Please include the following: model and year of your car, V6 or 4-cyl, and make/model of exhaust. It may not hurt to include whether you have a full cat-back, aftermarket cats, etc...
this guy has HKS which sounds reallllyy nicee, hopefully mine would sound better when i remove the resonator -----07 SE V6 New custom exhaust (08 SE V6)

Thanks for your posts everyone! Does anyone have a Gen 6 V6 without resonators? I am trying to figure out if I should install keep or remove 'em when I install the Magnaflows 14851s.

I just got the Magnaflow 14851s installed in my car and they look great! I was really concerned that the tips would look way too big on the car, but after seeing them installed, I am very happy.
As suggested, the resonators are still on the car. My opinion is that the car is still very quiet. After about 2.5k-3k RPMs, you really can't hear the exhaust nearly as much as the intake. Inside the car, I can hear the exhaust until about 2.5k RPMs, but afterwards I can't even tell I have anything special on the car. The guys at the shop suggested that I leave the resonator on the car as well due to the real possibility of heavy resonance within cabin, which I really wanted to avoid.
Sorry for the poor quality and short videos. That's all I had time for...
