Hi Guys,
Hopefully someone can help me with this,
I installed new aftermarket wheels and tires last week and I recently noticed that my tire pressure warning light has turned on. Is this normal? and how can I get rid/ fix it. Any help is appreciated. THANKS!

you needed to swap the TPMS from your old rims to ur new ones. your light will stay on until you do that, or buy new TPMS.
btw, nice rims

-You would have to pay to get it remounted and in most cases, the swap may be free.
-Put a small piece of tape over the TPMS light if it bothers you
-Leave your old rims with the sensors in the garage next to the car when you park overnight every night. The sensor light be reset each day. (from what I read, not personal experience)

yeah there's this sensor that worked with the original tires to tell you if your tires gone flat or whatever...
i think in the past threads people concluded that you just have to leave it on and ignore it or you can buy a sensor? or go to the dealer and spend money to get it turned off or working wtih your new tires.
cheaper alternative: just ignore it
functional solution: have to buy a tire sensor
YEAH, Thanks for the advice. I'm just going to go to the place that put on my wheels and demand that they switch it for free. I gotta lug my damn dirty old wheels there again.Thanks.

The sensors really come in handy. My Mom's Highlander suffered from leaks caused by nails (twice), and a bent wheel. Having notification before you have the chance to notice anything wrong really saves you the hassle of having a flat on the road or wrecking a prefectly good tire.
They definitely should have switched over the sensors for you when they put the new wheels on. I work at a shop and we have to do that all the time. It is a pain in the butt getting them to fit in some low pros but they can usually be reused. Make them do it for free.
plenty of people got along without them for years and years
