Found the elusive cabin filter-better and cheaper!!
Wanted to share the good news with you all! After pulling my cabin filter and finding it totally coated black ,with who knows what, after 7500 miles, I have been trying to find factory replacement cabin filters at a reasonable price. On line the best I could find thru a Toyota dealer was $19 plus shipping. Well, today was my lucky day. Buying Techron at Pep Boys I happen to check their Purolator parts catalog for the filter. Yes, they had them in stock. Was sceptical but bought one and after getting home checked its dimensions against the stock one I had kept. A perfect fit!! It actually has more pleats and is constructed a little better than the Toyota one which is very flimsy. Go stock up since they get contaminated rather quickly. With my allergies I need all the help I can get. Some pulmonary experts are even talking about the tire dust which is also harmful to all motorists. Don't care if I have to replace my filter often-just not worth taking chances. FYI the Purolator Breathe Easy cabin filter # is C 35667. BTW this is for my 2007 SE 3.5 V6, the I4 has a different #. Cheers!!
Thanks for the tip, I will pick some up today. Do you have a DIY on how to install them or know where to find one? How easy is it and how much time does it take?

Baloney!!!
1. All the Camrys have the same filter...........87139-07010
2. Mine looks fine at 26,000 miles but I drive on paved roads
3. You can buy them on EBAY every day for under $13 each delivered - OEM and non-OEM
4. Number of pleats is not an indication of how good the material filters the air.
But we haven't had a thread about this for about 6 months.
