Gen5 Turbocharger for 04 Camry LE 4-cyl

Does anyone know where I can buy a turbocharger (preferably new not used) for my 04 Camry LE 4-Cyl?

I have an Injen Short Ram Intake and a Cat-Back Exhaust. I don't know if that helps or not cuz I'm not that good with cars as some other people.

Take a queue ticket my friend.

There is no turbo kit out in the market for the 2AZ-FE in the Camrys. There is one for the tC but that's a whole completely different set up and engine.

Every thing will need to be custom made if you want to increase performance on our grocery getter.

I'm currently finding a good shop that can custom-made a 4-2 titanium header for me for around $1200 including labor fees. So far, no luck.

I've got to laugh at the response a lot of people give to this question on this particular forum. Go to the 3-4 Gen forums and you will find several people who have heavily modded camry's with turbo and all. Is there that mch difference between those camry's and ours that it's ok to berate people here for wanting to do something like this? If your car is still under warranty then yeah, it's not a smart thing to do, but if you accept the responsibility and the cost, then go for it. I just wish we still had the camryman forums and SC3 forums around, those guys knew what they were doing and had some FAST cars.

And you can spend thousands of dollars doing all of this, get a turbo installed, etc...

and my V6 will still be cheaper, faster, and have longer longevity.

What? Gen 3 and 4 has a different engine than the Gen 5. The 5S-FE engine has more market background than the 2AZ-FE.

Why do some people think that they can put a diamond stud in a pig's ear and enter it in the Miss America contest? Sheesh. Camry is a mid sized family sedan and not a police interceptor. If you want something that will keep the tire companies in business, buy a Mustang with it's largest engine and go lay some rubber and smoke. There isn't a damned thing you can do to that 4 cylinder Camry that is going to make it go as fast as you want it to go. Sell it, trade it, or settle.

It's definitely tempting to mod an I4 Camry...They're pretty slow. I love my car, and as much as I'd love to pour time and money into it making it faster, I value it more for its reliability and longevity. A turbo is exactly the thing you don't want to add to a car that you plan on owning for a long time. If your Camry is your DD, don't go for it.

If it's your project car...I suggest getting a more satisfying project car.

Or do what I'm doing and get a bike.
