i have an 06 camry le and the bumpers do not come with removable cut outs to install the fog lights. i always wanted to cut the holes out myself as some of the members here have done but the only thing holding me back is that i am afraid the paint where i cut the holes might start chipping off in the long run. to those who cut their own fog light holes in the bumpers, is the paint still holding up pretty well where you cut it? any signs of paint peeling or chipping? and i believe i read in a thread that i should be expecting the wiring harness for the fog lights to alredy be there, is this correct?

use the hitgun first before cut.. and use some Drimer or Plastic nife.. i used dreamer to cut my civic bumper.. ( dont forget use the hitgun dont over hit if u do the paint will melt..
There really isn't any reason to use a heat gun (if that's what Gene is saying). Making the plastic hot and softer will just make it harder to cut because the plastic becomes more sticky.

How's the new project coming along?
To OP: If you are not confident in your abilities just have a shop do it. If they mess up they buy a new one.
