2009 Camry

SO I'm in the process of buying a 2009 Camry SE V6. I'm looking to upgrade to these rims which are 20's. Saw these rims on a 2007 in the showroom last year but never got a chance to look up what size tire what mounted to it.

Now what I want to know is what size tire can I fit on the car without rubbing. I'm wondering if a 40 series tire will fit. I'm not planning on lowering the car. Thank you.

You won't fit 40 series tires. Your best bet is 225-35-20 or 245-35-20.

I know the stock tires are 215 55 17 with a 245 is there a chance of rubbing since it's a tad wider? With a 19 inch rim can i run a 40 series? Yes I'm a newbie sorry for the all the questions. Current car is 1996 Corolla SD with 255 000 km runs good buts it's time for a new car.

well my car is dropped on TRD springs and im running 245/35/19 on 19x8.5 rims 35 offset. they rub in the back but nothing too serious. i also have a system in the back which probably has a lot to do with the rubbing. i doubt u can go 40 series tires with 19's or 20's if u want to go 40 then i would stick with the 18's.

With the right width and offset of the rims you can fit 225-40-19 without rubbing.
We have a few members here running with 40 series on 19".
